Our Origin Story
Before MMO Madness became a podcast, a brand, and a community, it was a single player logging in after work, tanking for strangers who became lifelong friends.
Our founder, known online as Boss Mode, has been exploring virtual worlds since the days when connection speeds were measured in dial-up tones and every logout came with a “corpse run.”
MMO Madness was born from decades of gaming, from EverQuest’s punishing raids to World of Warcraft’s golden age, from the chaos of ARK and ESO to the player-driven politics of EVE Online.
Through all of it, one truth emerged: MMOs aren’t just games, they’re digital societies.
